URL (U Rock Lately) Radio is a local radio station on a national stage, the Internet. It’s a station for the people and by the people. U R in charge. U R keepin’ it local. U decide the music. U decide the programming. U R important. U Rock! U R the future of radio. We’re changing the face of radio and yet getting back to the basics. We’re taking the good old days of local radio, with local on air talent, requests, dedications, programming and focus and moving it to the internet so everyone who is currently living in the Bismarck-Mandan area and formerly lived in the Bismarck-Mandan area can get it. Besides “being local”; URL radio can do something else local radio stations can’t -- go anywhere without downloading software. If you are at work, more than likely, you can get us. If you are traveling out of state for business, more than likely, you can get us. If you are vacationing, more than likely, you can get us. If you’ve moved away and still want to keep in touch, you can get us. If you are stationed in Iraq, you can get us. As long as you have internet access, you can get us. Within the next couple years, internet access will be available almost everywhere: cars, tractors, televisions, it’s even spread to phones already. This really is the future of radio and we’re excited to be at the forefront.

URLradio.net was birthed by Stacy Sturm & Nicole Morrison-Mathern. Both women have a head for business, and a heart for charity. They are active in fundraising, organizing events and volunteer for several non-profits in our area.

Stacy Sturm
|
 |
URL Radio co-owner and local radio veteran, Stacy Sturm, will be programming the radio station. She has worked in the radio business for 14 years. She’s done mornings for almost 10 of those years and would be leading the morning line-up on URL Radio. She’ll also write and produce advertising and schedule spots. She’s also worked in newspaper, television and marketing/public relations for four years and knows what makes a successful campaign.

Nicole Morrison-Mathern

URL Radio co-owner Nicole Morrison-Mathern already owns two successful businesses, and has years of business and marketing experience. She will be involved in sales, marketing and community involvement.
She is currently the Assistant Director of the Harold Schafer Emerging Leaders Academy, and is responsible for the business & discovery sections, where she helps students find their passion and connects the book part of college to real life. Nicole is the Vice Chair of the North Dakota Make-A-Wish Foundation, and also sits on the Board of Directors for the IDEA Center (Incubator for Developing Entrepreneurial Activity) where she helps entrepreneurs start up their dream businesses.
Nicole recieved her undergraduate degrees (Human Services w/ concentration in Criminal Justice, Behavioral Sciences w/ concentration in Psychology & a minor in Comunications) from Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, SD. She also holds a Master's in Management degree from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. In 2006 Nicole was named the national runner-up for the Business and Professional Women's, Young Careerist program. In 2007 she was a finalist for the Jaycee's Outstanding Young North Dakotan award, and in 2008 was listed as one of North Dakota's top 40 under 40 in "Business Watch".

Tommy C. was born under the sign of Cancer in 1974 in Apple Valley,MN. After actually graduating high school he went to a year of school at Music Tech of Minneapolis to study more of the craft that is called music. In 1994 he moved to Bismarck and quickly became a part of the local music scene hooking up with bands that have toured the midwest and beyond. Music is and alwayswill be the driving force in his life because no matter what life brings no one can ever take it away or tell you it's wrong.
A North Dakota native, George Cory has been making music his whole life. He knew at a very early age music was his calling. George has been playing in local, regional, and national bands since high school and has no intentions of doing anything else. Whether it is writing and recording original material or producing and engineering for others, George's love of all things music has never been stronger.

Mike has been in the fitness & nutrition industry as a trainer for 30 years (which is crazy since he's only 32). He specializes in hormonal balancing for weight loss and improved body composition.
